Noddy Season Is Over And Census Completed
Around 207,000 Lesser Noddies have been recorded nesting on Fregate Island (that doesn’t even include the chicks of this season!)
Our conservationists also discovered a brand-new nesting area on the island that the noddies have not used before. Considering that the colony is moving further inland for nesting, this will be monitored in the coming years.
These colored patches show the different plots where the Lesser Noddies nest on Fregate Island. You can see that the colony stays together on one side of the island.
